Timeline fixed for resolving Hyderabad Metro project row.
Timelines have been fixed to resolve the stand-off between Hyderabad Metro of L&T and Telangana Govt, according to a top central official.
'There are eight/ nine issues including land acquisition and route which will be resolved in a time-bound manner,' Anil Swarup, Head of Project Monitoring Group, Government of India, told Business Line on the sidelines of a meeting recently.
He, however, did not elaborate further on the deadlines.
The official was one of the key participants of meeting convened by the Centre to review progress and issues in the project in Delhi recently.
'The State Govt is positive about the project and it will go on,' the official said.
The Chief Secretary of the Government of Telangana, representatives of L&T and other officials attended the meeting.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao kicked off a row last month asking L&T to change alignment and adopt the underground route in select locations in the city which was opposed by L&T.
