Watertec Plans Major Push in CP and Sanitaryware, Eyes ₹400 Crore Milestone
Watertec, the Warburg Pincus-backed bathroom products maker, is gearing up for a major expansion of its chrome plated (CP) and sanitaryware business, targeting a topline of ₹400 crore from the segment within the next five years.
The company expects the CP and sanitaryware vertical to grow at an annual rate of 20–25 per cent, driven by rising demand in India’s housing and renovation markets.
“We will be making a disproportionate investment to scale up our CP and sanitaryware business,” said Mayank Sharma, Head of the CP & Sanitaryware Business Unit at Watertec, in an interaction with businessline. He, however, declined to disclose the planned investment outlay.
Currently, CP and sanitaryware account for around 10 per cent of the Coimbatore-based company’s overall revenue. Watertec’s broader portfolio includes polymer bath fittings, which contribute nearly 70 per cent of topline, and pipes, which account for the remaining 20 per cent.
In FY26, the company reported revenues of approximately ₹500 crore, Sharma said, underscoring the company’s plans to rebalance its portfolio by accelerating growth in higher-value segments.
