Winsome Yarns to begin commercial production by Feb

Mumbai: The yarn manufacturer Winsome Yarns has forecast to commence commercial production at Barewal, the first of the five mini hydro power projects being set up in Punjab by the February-end.

The company informed BSE that as a step towards cost effectiveness, the company undertook installation of five mini hydro power projects in Punjab with total power potential of 3900 KW, allotted by Punjab Energy Development Board (PEDA).

The civil work at all the five sites is under progress. The company expects to start commercial production at other sites subsequently in next six months.
