Nepal to get Powder milk factory

Sarlahi: The preparations for the establishment of a cooperative powder milk factory at Lalbandi of Sarlahi have reached final stage.
Of the Rs 480 million needed for the factory, the government would provide Rs 110 million and the rest would be collected from the dairy cooperative institution. If the amount remained still short of the need, shares will be issued.

Farmer Sitaram Dahal said the factory planned at the centre of 11 districts will solve the problem of milk holiday and will utilize over 68,278 metric tonnes of milk, which is currently beiong wasted due to the lack of processing plants.

The construction of building will begin in August. Farmers in Saptari, Siraha, Sarlahi, Udaypur, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sindhuli, Rautahat, Bara, Parsa and Makwanpur will be directly benefitted by the factory.
