Sitharaman Reaffirms Centre's Commitment to Ladakh, Unveils Projects.

Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman recently virtually inaugurated a series of development projects in Leh, Ladakh, underscoring the Government of India's unwavering commitment to inclusive growth and robust infrastructure development in the Union Territory. The inaugurations took place during her ongoing four-day visit to Ladakh.

The Ministry of Finance highlighted that these inaugurations are a strong reaffirmation of the Centre's focus on uplifting the region.

During her visit, the Union Finance Minister engaged with officials from the Union Territory administration, discussing various aspects of governance and development. On the second day of her itinerary, she addressed a significant gathering at a Credit Outreach Programme in Leh. During this event, Minister Sitharaman personally handed over sanction letters from various banks to beneficiaries, facilitating access to crucial financial support under several Central Government schemes. This direct interaction aimed to ensure the effective reach and implementation of welfare programs for the local populace.
