Southern Railway Awards ₹20.6 Crore Signalling Project to E To E Transportation Infra.
E To E Transportation Infrastructure, a system integration and engineering solutions firm serving the railway sector, recently announced it has secured a ₹20.59 crore contract for signalling and telecommunication works from the Southern Railway’s Thiruvananthapuram division, according to a regulatory filing.
The contract, awarded through a competitive bidding process, carries a 12-month execution timeline from
the date of the letter of acceptance, which the company received on 1 February 2026. Under the agreement, E To E Transportation is required to provide a performance guarantee of 5 per cent of the contract value, amounting to ₹1.02 crore, within 21 days of receiving the acceptance letter.
The scope of the project includes installing indoor and outdoor signalling and telecommunication systems at Kumbalam station as part of the Ernakulam–Kumbalam doubling project. The contract also involves relocating signalling and telecom assets between Kumbalam and Turavur stations to support engineering works on the Kumbalam–Turavur doubling section.
The works at Kumbalam station, covering both stage I and stage II, form part of broader capacity augmentation initiatives on the Ernakulam–Kumbalam and Kumbalam–Turavur rail sections.
