Tulip bags project worth Rs 57.72 cr

Bangalore: Tulip IT Services Ltd, a data telecom service provider, has bagged the Assam State Wide Area Network Project. The project will be implemented on a build, own, operate & transfer (BOOT) model. The project is worth over Rs 57.72 crore. Tulip IT Services will deploy, manage and operate the entire network for five years. The project involves supply and installation of network equipment across the State as well as operation and maintenance. The network supports data, voice and video, and will enable the State to implement various e-governance initiatives. It is planned to meet the current and future requirements of the Assam Government. On completion of the project, the Government of Assam will have an integrated backbone for common citizen services, online monitoring of performance of various promotional schemes, integration of databases of various Government departments and unified communication, according to a press release.
