100th administrative meet: Mamata Banerjee to launch 100 projects worth Rs. 200 crore.
With less than a year before the Assembly elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee would inaugurate about 100 developmental projects amounting to about Rs. 200 crore during her 100th district administrative meeting to be held at Burdwan recently.
During the meet, which would be attended by members from the administration and political arena, and representatives of different fields, Mamata would also distribute cheques among 100 beneficiaries in the audience.
'Bureaucrats and other invitees along with members of media would travel in a convoy of buses from Kolkata. The administrative meeting would take place at 2 pm Sanskriti Lok Mancha auditorium in Burdwan. Later at 4 pm, she will address a public gathering at the Burdwan Police Line,' said Soumitra Mohan, District Magistrate (DM), Burdwan.
The CM is also supposed to inaugurate an app called 'Smart Burdwan', which provides all relevant information about the district. “From phone numbers of important officials to information of other important aspects such as redressal to various administrative logjams, e-entitlements and e-services would be available through this app. From vacancies in government jobs to availability of hospital beds, all the information would be a tap away,' said a senior administrative official.
