110 houses to be built in 100 days.

The Krishna district administration is taking up an innovative project of constructing 110 houses in 3.3 acres at Kethanakonda, Ibrahimpatnam on the city fringes. More importantly, the project would be completed in flat 100 days. The government would be allotting these houses to eligible persons from SC, ST and BC communities.

Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao during a meeting with Janmabhoomi committees and others from Mylavaram constituency said the project would be completed in a record span and experts from different countries would be working on the project.

The meeting was conducted at Irrigation Ministers Camp Office recently.

This project, in which the flats would be constructed for the poor should stand as an example about constructing many residential flats in a limited space and limited time, he said.

Each flat would be constructed at a cost of Rs.2.75 lakh and the government would be offering a subsidy of Rs.1.75 lakh for SC, ST and Rs.1.25 lakh for BCs. The rest of the amount would be arranged as bank loans, the Minister said.

He directed the authorities and elected public representatives to monitor the project and ensure coordination among different departments for completing the project within the stipulated time.
