Adani Total Gas and INOX India Forge Partnership for LNG Distribution
Adani Total Gas and INOX India have officially embarked on a collaborative journey through a mutual support agreement, designating each other as "preferred partners" for the distribution of LNG and LCNG equipment and services. INOX India, a Gujarat-based provider of cryogenic liquid storage, distribution, and re-gas solutions, is set to play a pivotal role in this strategic alliance.
As part of the agreement, Adani Total Gas gains preferential treatment and advanced scheduling access, along with opportunities to establish LNG/LCNG stations, LNG satellite stations, LNG logistics, and the development of small-scale liquid hydrogen solutions for industrial applications. The partnership aims to facilitate the transition of long-haul heavy vehicles and buses currently using high-speed diesel (HSD) to LNG, contributing to a significant 30% reduction in carbon emissions.
Adani Total Gas is expected to expedite the establishment of LNG stations nationwide, fostering confidence among fleet operators to adopt LNG as a preferred transportation fuel. The mutual support agreement outlines the roles and obligations of both companies, leveraging their collective expertise to develop LNG infrastructure, including small-scale LNG plants and stations. The collaboration aims to achieve economies of scale for the conversion of heavy vehicles to LNG, while also emphasizing best practices in health, safety, and the environment, fuel efficiency, and high-quality conversion services.
