"Amara Raja Infra Commissions NTPC's Anta Solar PV Project"
Amara Raja Infra Private Limited (ARIPL), a key player in the $2 billion Amara Raja Group, has reached a significant milestone by successfully commissioning NTPC's Anta Solar PV Project. The 90 MW/135 MWp project, located on a 437-acre site in Anta, Baran District, Rajasthan, is the first Balance of System (BoS) Solar contract awarded in 2021 from a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU).
The Anta Solar PV Project, situated within NTPC's existing gas-fired thermal power station premises, is expected to generate 213 million units of green energy annually. This project is a notable addition to ARIPL's 2000 MW Solar PV portfolio and is part of their broader infrastructure initiative to support the evacuation of over 7500 MW of renewable energy through EHV Sub-Stations and transmission lines across India.
NTPC Ltd., India's largest integrated power utility, contributes to one-quarter of the country's power needs and operates a diverse portfolio of thermal, hydro, solar, and wind power plants.
Dwarakanadha Reddy B, Business Head (Power EPC) at ARIPL, stated, "The successful commissioning of this project underscores Amara Raja Infra's technical expertise and project execution capabilities. This achievement, made possible by NTPC's steadfast support, marks a significant step forward in advancing the renewable energy transition and solidifies our role as a key player in India's clean energy sector."
