In a significant move to extend financial aid to eligible beneficiaries, the Andhra Pradesh State government is set to disburse ₹325.02 crore under the Jagananna Chedodu scheme. This financial assistance is slated to be distributed on Thursday and is expected to benefit approximately 3,25,020 individuals, including Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins, and tailors across the State.
With this latest allocation, the total assistance provided through the Jagananna Chedodu scheme over the past four years accumulates to a substantial ₹1,252.51 crore, reflecting the government's commitment to supporting various sections of society.
The distribution ceremony will be officially conducted by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at an event scheduled to take place in Yemmiganur, located in Kurnool district.
In this round of disbursements, a total of ₹180.66 crore will be allocated to 1,80,656 tailors, while a sum of ₹104.55 crore will be provided to 1,04,551 Rajakas, and ₹39.81 crore will go to 39,813 Nayee Brahmins. This allocation is in line with the government's efforts to ensure equitable distribution among eligible beneficiaries.
The selection process for beneficiaries has been characterized by transparency and a commitment to prevent discrimination and corruption. In the event that an eligible individual is inadvertently excluded from the scheme for any reason, they will be afforded another opportunity to apply. If found eligible after verification, they will receive benefits in the months of June or December each year.
To address concerns and inquiries related to the scheme, the government has established a toll-free helpline accessible through the number 1902, providing a channel for assistance and addressing complaints from beneficiaries. This initiative underscores the state government's dedication to fostering inclusive and accessible welfare programs for its citizens.
