AP bags prestigious Nuclear Project.
Centre Government decided to set up a Nuclear Fuel Project other than the existing one in Hyderabad. Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka have been in race for the project.
In the end, Its AP Government which successfully bagged the Nuclear Fuel Complex Project inspite of stiff opposition from Other States in the country.
AP Government has choosen Orvakal mandal in Kurnool district for setting up Nuclear Fuel Complex Project. It also offered land, water, power and other facilities to the centre. Total cost of AP's Nuclear Fuel Complex Project is Rs. 4,000 to Rs. 5,000 crore.
