Assam govt proposes setting up of a North East Water Resource Authority (NEWRA)

Assam govt has proposed setting up of a North East Water Resource Authority (NEWRA) as it wants all mega-hydel projects in the upper reaches of Brahmaputra in Arunachal Pradesh to be brought under an authority.
