"BEL Secures Orders Worth ₹1,940 Crore"

Navaratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has sealed a significant contract valued at ₹847.70 crore with Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T). The agreement entails the supply of 14 advanced Communication and Electronic Warfare (EW) sensors and systems, all of which will be domestically manufactured by BEL.

These cutting-edge systems are slated for installation on three Cadet Training Ships designated for the Indian Navy. The collaboration between BEL and L&T underscores a robust partnership and signifies broader cooperation within the Indian industry, stated the company.

The successful execution of this contract will involve the active participation of numerous Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), marking a substantial stride towards realizing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat or self-reliant India.

In addition to this landmark deal, BEL has secured other orders worth ₹1,092.65 crore subsequent to the last disclosure on February 13, 2024. These orders encompass the supply of LRUs for T-70 & T-90 Tanks, Communication Systems for the Indian Navy, as well as various Spares and Services.

With these latest developments, BEL's total orders for the current financial year have reached an impressive ₹32,716.33 crore. This substantial figure underscores the company's ongoing growth trajectory and sustained success within the Defence sector.
