BEML Strengthens Board with Strategic Appointments in Rail, Metro, and Mining Sectors

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd (BEML), a public sector company specializing in heavy equipment manufacturing, has appointed Rajeev Kumar Gupta as Director of Rail and Metro, and Sanjay Som as Director of Mining and Construction.

Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML, welcomed the new appointees, stating, “We are thrilled to have Gupta and Som join the Board. Their leadership will be key in driving BEML’s future vision and goals.”

Gupta, who previously held leadership positions at SAIL and BHEL, played a pivotal role in securing the Vande Bharat train order and advancing high-speed train development. He also helped expand BHEL's export strategies across Africa, Europe, and South Asia.

Som, a key contributor to the development of Vande Bharat Sleeper Coaches, formerly led BEML’s Bangalore Complex and has worked with major public enterprises like Simplex Engineering and Grasim Industries.

HBL
