The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has awarded a ₹55.48 crore contract to Milan Road Buildtech LLP for civil and structural works associated with a new travellator and connecting walkway at Central Silk Board in Bengaluru.

The contract covers the design, construction and structural interface works required for the proposed pedestrian connectivity infrastructure. The travellator is expected to improve passenger movement and provide a more convenient connection for commuters accessing the metro station and surrounding transport facilities. The project forms part of efforts to strengthen pedestrian infrastructure and improve last-mile connectivity at one of Bengaluru's important transit locations. Central Silk Board is a major transport hub with significant passenger and road traffic, making efficient pedestrian movement an important requirement.

The award to Milan Road Buildtech LLP creates opportunities across civil construction, structural works, fabrication, engineering and associated project services. The project is also expected to enhance the overall commuter experience by providing a dedicated and more accessible pedestrian connection.
