BOI approves warehousing complex

Colombo: The Board of Investment (BOI) has granted approval for the construction of a modern integrated supply services management centre and large scale warehousing complex for servicing investors.

Accordingly, Logiwish N. W. Private Ltd will build a modern integrated supply services management centre at the Thulhiriya MAS Fabric Park Complex. The project with a total investment of US$ 820,000 due to start commercial operations in September will provide services to the MAS Fabric Park and the Wayamba Regional Investment project, the Government Information Department said in a release.

Pioneer Warehousing (Private) Limited will build a modern fully equipped service centre building at Peliyagoda. The project costing US$ 1.4 million will be completed in October. The present warehousing complex at Kollupitiya will be shifted to Peliyagoda and the three and a half acre plot of land used at Kollupitiya will be developed as an industrial park.

The release said, Imperial Institute of Computing (Private) Limited has been granted approval to set up an Information Technology Higher Education Institute in Colombo costing US$ 150,000.
