Yamaha India Targets 25% Export Growth, Positions Chennai Plant as Global Hub.
Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha expects its exports from India to grow 25% this year and is positioning its Chennai plant as a key export hub for global markets, particularly advanced countries, a senior company official said.
Yamaha Motor Co Ltd Senior Executive Officer and Yamaha Motor India Group Chairman Itaru Otani told PTI that the company currently exports to around 55 countries from India and plans to explore additional international markets to further expand its export footprint.
“We are trying to achieve a big growth, like by 25% this year on exports,” Otani said, outlining the company’s targets for 2025.
