CCI approves 3 rail projects to support Coal mines and Power plants

The Union cabinet has given consent to three railway projects.

The rail links approved are the 122km Gevra road-Pendra road and the 63km Raigarh (Mand colliery)-Bhupdeopur stretches in Chhattisgarh.

The Cabinet also approved doubling the 248km-long Palanpur-Samakhiali link to improve rail connectivity for bulk traffic movement from Kandla and Mundra port in the Kutch area of Gujarat.

The project will help to connect coal field to the power plants.
