Cidco to transfer 101 plots to NMMC for schools, parking lots, night shelters.

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) will transfer 101 plots to Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) in a phased manner, subject to payments.

These plot will be used for community development projects and public welfare schemes across the city.

In the first phase of transfer, 25 plots will be handed over, to be followed by more. Around Rs. 1.11 crore will be paid for the transfer of 25 plots in the first phase. In the second phase, the civic body will have to pay around Rs. 3.69 crore for another 25 plots to Cidco.

The civic general body meeting, sought the approval of members to continue making timely payments to Cidco.

'Payment-related documentation are being processed. Cidco will be paid in installments. Later, demarcation of plots will be done and the agreement will be executed. The decision for transfer will be a boost to the corporation's plans to provide more amenities to the residents,' said deputy municipal commissioner (estate department) D Chabukswar.
