CM Unveils 25 Development Projects Worth ₹410 Crore in Navi Mumbai.

In a significant boost to infrastructure ahead of the assembly elections, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde inaugurated 25 projects totaling ₹410 crore in Navi Mumbai on Friday. The event included the groundbreaking for several new initiatives aimed at enhancing public services in the region.

Among the notable projects inaugurated was an Olympic-size public swimming pool in Vashi, marking a first for the city, along with the establishment of an indoor vehicle parking facility at CBD Belapur, which will accommodate over 400 cars. Additionally, a bhoomipujan ceremony was held for a Maharashtra Bhavan to be constructed on Cidco land at Vashi station, with a budget of ₹121 crore.

The range of projects inaugurated includes a cancer screening facility at 13 primary civil health centers, a 10-bed chemotherapy unit at Nerul Hospital, educational institutions, markets, health centers, water bodies, e-buses, and e-charging stations. CM Shinde also initiated the concreting of Ghansoli Palm Beach Road and the construction of stormwater drainage and footpaths, amounting to ₹52.5 crore.

Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and other ministers, Shinde highlighted the impact of the Ladki Bahin scheme, stating that over 1.45 lakh women in Navi Mumbai have directly benefited from it. In a move to further support women commuters, he announced a 50% discount on fares for women traveling on Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport buses.

Fadnavis, during the event, inaugurated the centralized building for Maharashtra Cyber Security in Mahape, emphasizing that the new cyber security center is equipped with advanced technology to combat cybercrime targeting vulnerable citizens.
