Complete Railway Over Bridge at Vatluru by November: Collector.

District Collector K Bhaskar has directed the officials to complete the Railway over Bridge (RoB) at Vatluru by November.

Speaking at a review meeting at the Collectorate here on Saturday, he expressed his dissatisfaction over the slow pace of works of RoB at Vatluru railway level crossing, which was taken up four years ago. He asked the officials to ensure completion of Vatluru RoB by November at any cost.

Reviewing the progress of National Highway 216 works, Bhaskar directed the officials to speed up the project. The officials should change the contractor if he fails to execute the road works as per schedule, he said.

The Collector said a survey was conducted in villages for the development of inland waterways. Criminal cases would be registered if anyone removed the survey stones fixed in the fields, he said.

He also reviewed the progress of irrigation projects in the district at the meeting.

Joint Collectors Pulipati Koteswara Rao and MH Sheriff, Land Acquisition Deputy Collector Bhanu Prasad, Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Project Officer Shan Mohan, Narsapur Sub-Collector Sumith Kumar Gandhi, Polavaram project Superintending Engineer Srinivasa Yadav, Roads & Buildings SE Nirmala, Revenue Divisional Officers G Chakradhara Rao, B Srinivasa Rao and S Lavanna, and other officials participated in the review meeting.
