Dassault Aviation Takes Majority Control of Aerospace JV with Reliance.
French aerospace giant Dassault Aviation is set to become the majority stakeholder in its joint venture with Reliance, Dassault Reliance Aerospace Ltd (DRAL). The company announced the acquisition of a 2% stake from Reliance Aerostructure Ltd (RAL), a move that increases Dassault's holding to 51%.
The transaction, valued at ₹176 crore (approximately $20 million), was confirmed by Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, the parent company of RAL. The deal is expected to be finalized by November 1, according to a statement filed with stock exchanges on Friday.
With this shift in ownership, RAL's stake in DRAL will decrease to 49%, making it the minority partner. The joint venture was originally established to support India's defense manufacturing under the "Make in India" initiative.
