Devendra Fadnavis takes dig as Sena workers as he lays stones for bridges.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently laid the stones for two important bridges on Ulhas Creek that will reduce distance between Kalyan-Dombivli from Thane and Mumbai.
During the programme, the CM also took a dig at Sena workers who unofficially laid the stones on Saturday for both the bridges in Dombivli.
The CM called Sena workers 'atiutsaahi karykarta (overexcited party workers)'.
The CM, giving an example, said in 'my childhood days whenever I used to visit Red Fort from where the PMs addressed the nation, I also gave speeches from there, but I could not become PM. So we should not feel bad about such overexcited people'.
Recently evening, Sena workers, under the leadership of the party's Dombivli chief Bhau Chaudhari and Kalyan chief Vishwanath Bhoir, carried out the ceremony at the actual spot.
Sena workers had alleged that the BJP's MP from Bhiwandi Kapil Patil had got the infrastructure body MMRDA to organize the ceremony in his parliamentary constituency in Bhiwandi with the sole aim to 'grab credit for the project'.
During the programme Kapil Patil refuted charges levelled by Sena workers on him saying that 'I feel sorry for some Sena workers who blamed me for the event organised in Bhiwandi. He said the event has been organized by MMRDA whose officials have decided on the venue. I never asked them to hold it in my constituency'.
PWD Minister Ekanath Shinde who is also Guardian Minister of Thane was only the only Sena leader present at programme while KDMC Mayor Rajendra Devlekar and Kalyan MP Shreekant Shinde who were among the invitees did not attend the programme.
