Disha Eye Hospitals to invest Rs.100 crore in West Bengal
Disha Eye Hospitals & Research Care Centre is investing Rs100 crore in the next 3 years to come up with new facilities across West Bengal. While Siliguri and Burdwan would see Disha coming up in the next couple of months, districts like Nadia, Malda, Midnapore, Purulia, Birbhum and Bankura would follow suit.
Each of the two upcoming hospitals at Sevoke Road Siliguri and Burdwan would be spread nearly over 20,000-25000 sq ft of land. Investments to the tune of Rs. 20 crore would go into putting together the two facilities.
Having been in the eye healthcare industry for close to two decades now Disha Eye Hospitals that started out with their eye hospital at Barrackpore on just 12,000 sq ft has not just added two more properties to the same facility spreading over 1 lakh sq ft but added close to 2.5 lakh sq ft of real estate inventory to their kitty through their 10 fully owned hospital properties in the state.
'Instead of diluting our equity to get funding we follow a model to invest forward 15 per cent-20 per cent of our topline. Following our vision to take eye care to the level of affordability of every Indian we are increasing our peripheral outreach,' said Dr Debasish Bhattacharya, chairman and managing director, Disha Eye Hospitals & Research Care Centre.
