Domestic Cargo Terminal to Go Live Soon.

The management and operations of the entire domestic air cargo terminal at the Vizag Airport will start soon, said the newly appointed Vizag Airport director Vinod Kumar Sharma.

He was speaking during a meeting, organised by the members of Air Travellers Association (India) to felicitate him in a private hotel here Monday.

Vinod Kumar Sharma said that the Integrated Air Cargo Terminal at Visakhapatnam Airport was likely to begin operations soon with a call for tenders.

Vinod also mentioned that they had sent proposals for the expansion of terminals of the Vizag Airport and they were also chalking out plans to improve amenities for the passengers by setting up one more coffee shop and modern toilet, he added.

Meanwhile, Air Travellers Association (India) president D Varada Reddy said that he was optimistic that the new director would open the Cargo Terminal at the earliest and help in promoting pharma, marine and allied exports from the City. ATA members and others took part.
