Doshion Veolia to execute water management facility at IGIA
Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad-based Doshion Veolia Water Solutions has bagged a Rs 200-crore order to execute the water and waste water management facility at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), New Delhi, the company announced here today.
The company has been awarded this order to execute the complete water and waste water management facilities at the GMR-IGIA project, encompassing civil work, plumbing, piping, transportation of waste and operation and maintenance.
Doshion Veolia Water Solutions (DVWS) is a joint venture company between the Ahmedabad-based Doshion Ltd and a global leader, Veolia Water Solutions and Technology, France.
Mr Ashit Doshi, Managing Director of DVWS, said that once completed, the plant would be an exhibit of technology at its best use.
“With150-plus technologies and more than 1,600 patents to its credit, the company has developed the best scheme for GMR-IGIA with emphasis on water recycle, reuse and waste minimisation”.
DVWS will set up water treatment plants that reduce the salinity of water and the sewage treatment and recycling plant that uses the recycled water for horticulture and washing purpose, thereby, maximising the use of available water resources and minimising waste generation from this infrastructure project.
It will also manage the piping network for water and sewage across the airport and provide water for fire-fighting, potable use, processes and utilities for the entire complex. Initially, operating and maintaining the plant for six years, DVWS will also train GMR personnel for future operation and maintenance.
The company will install features of plant automation and control to ensure that the plant operates with minimum supervision, Mr Doshi said.
