DPR on Mekedatu within four months.

A detailed project report on the Mekedatu drinking water project, across the Cauvery in the State, will be prepared in three to four months, Minister for Water Resources M.B. Patil has said.

Tenders will be called in a week's time to prepare the DPR. Three companies, including the Water and Power Consultancy Services of the Union Water Resources Ministry, have come forward to take up the DPR. Contract would be awarded to one firm within a week, he said.

Mr. Patil said the DPR would be submitted to the Centre.
