DTPC Project Comes to a Standstill.

Thriveni Sangamam, the much-touted project to set up a watch tower at the merging point of three rivers - Kaliyar, Thodupuzhayar and Kothayaar - at Muvattupuzha has hit a rock block.

The project mooted by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) has come to a standstill allegedly owing to the lack of coordination between government departments despite the project getting the approval in April 2012. The proposal that aims to make Muvattupuzha a tourist destination consists of hanging bridges connecting three islands, a walkway and river view points. The project is planned in two phases.
