Duet India Hotels to invest Rs. 2,000 cr.
Duet India Hotels is 'looking at acquiring hotel properties in Goa, Bangalore, Mumbai and the National Capital Region' to build an inventory of 4,000 rooms in the next four to five years, said Naveen Jain, President, Duet India Hotels.
Jain, who was at the Mahindra World City, about 50 km south of Chennai, to launch the company's second Holiday Inn Express hotel, said over next two years, 'the plan is to develop 20 properties at an investment of around Rs. 2,000 crore' The Holiday Inn Express is a mid-segment brand from the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) at the Mahindra World City. Including this, Duet India has three hotels - Four Points by Sheraton (2) and one Holiday Inn Express in Ahmedabad — with a little over 650 rooms under operation. Besides, it has six properties — Four Points by Sheraton (2), Holiday Inn Express (4) and a Holiday Inn in the pipeline.
