"Eicher Trucks & Buses Wins Major Order for 1,621 Buses and 42 Trucks from UPSRTC"

Eicher Trucks & Buses, a subsidiary of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), has secured a significant order from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) for 1,621 buses and 42 heavy-duty trucks. The deal, announced on February 3, 2025, aims to modernize the state's public transportation system and aligns with the government's infrastructure development initiatives.

The order includes a wide range of vehicles designed to meet diverse transportation needs: non-A/C buses, AC buses, CNG bus chassis, and trucks for logistics. This substantial order reflects UPSRTC's trust in Eicher's capability to deliver efficient and comprehensive transportation solutions, which will enhance the state's public transport and logistics infrastructure.

The order comprises 1,344 units of LMD Built-up Non-A/C Buses (Skyline Pro 3011 L and Skyline Pro 3010 L), which are intended for everyday passenger transport across Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, 197 units of the Eicher Pro 6016 12m AC Buses will provide comfortable travel options for longer routes, enhancing the travel experience for passengers.

Eicher will also deliver 80 units of the Pro 6016 CNG Bus Cowl Chassis, promoting a cleaner and more environmentally-friendly public transport system in the state. Furthermore, the order includes 42 units of the Eicher Pro 3019 Trucks, designed to enhance UPSRTC’s logistics and parts movement operations.
