EMCO bags 5 orders from PGCIL

Ahmedabad: Gujarat-based EMCO has won five orders worth Rs 550 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) for 765-kV transmission lines.

This is one of the largest overhead transmission line orders placed by PGCIL, involving supply of galvanised steel towers from the company’s facility located at Asoj, Gujarat.

EMCO, which is more than four decades old and listed company, is the third largest manufacturer of transformers in India an d a leading player in electronic energy metres and turnkey electrical substation transmission line projects up to 765 kV. EMCO has seven manufacturing facilities.
