Exxaro Tiles Plans 5 MW Solar Plant, Projects ₹6 Cr in Cost Savings.

Exxaro Tiles, a prominent manufacturer of vitrified and glazed tiles, is set to install a 5 MW solar power project in Gorol, Gujarat. This strategic move aims to significantly reduce the company's energy costs and enhance its sustainable manufacturing practices.

The solar project, which will be established on leased land for a period of 25 years and 4 months, is dedicated entirely to captive consumption for Exxaro Tiles' manufacturing unit located in Talod, Gujarat.

Currently, the Talod plant consumes approximately 21 million electricity units annually. With the integration of solar energy, Exxaro Tiles anticipates annual savings of about ₹6 crore, which translates to an impressive 30 percent reduction in energy costs at the unit. This initiative underscores the company's commitment to operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.
