Funds for Smart City DPR.

The Union Ministry for Urban Development would release Rs. 2 crore for preparing the draft project report (DPR) for the Smart City.

Kochi Mayor Tony Chammany and Corporation secretary V.R. Raju attended a meeting convened by Union minister Venkaiah Naidu in Hyderabad recently. Representatives from the south Indian cities who made it to the preliminary list of 100 Smart Cities too attended the meeting. In the first phase, 20 cities would be selected for receiving Central support for introducing smart solutions.
