"Godrej & Boyce Opens New Production Facility in Pune"

Godrej & Boyce has launched a new production facility in Shirwal, near Pune, dedicated to its latest range of AI-powered fully automatic front-load washing machines. The new plant, which represents an investment of ₹100 crore, encompasses machinery, tools, infrastructure, and backward integration.

Spanning 1 lakh square feet, the facility is set to increase production capacity by 300,000 units per year, effectively doubling the brand's output in the automatic washing machine segment.

Kamal Nandi, Business Head and Executive Vice President of Godrej Appliances, highlighted the significance of this investment. “Our new AI-enabled product range reflects our commitment to innovation and addresses the unique needs of Indian consumers. We are currently one of the fastest-growing brands in the washing machine category. With this ₹100 crore investment, we aim to solidify our position and achieve a 2X growth in the washing machines segment this year,” Nandi said.
