Government Approves Nine Electronics Manufacturing Projects Worth ₹1,120 Crore Across India

The Government of India has approved nine electronics component and industrial equipment manufacturing projects involving a combined proposed investment of approximately ₹1,120 crore under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS).

The approvals, announced on 6 November 2026, form part of a larger ₹7,503 crore investment package covering 12 projects across seven states.

The nine projects involve companies including NeST ICELR, TDConnex Chennai, Modern Automotives, Voltix Semicon, Enerfolie, Surface Modification Technologies, Rockwell Automation India and Wipro Pari Robotics.

The proposed manufacturing facilities will produce multilayer printed circuit boards, electrical relays, heat sinks, specialty ceramics, polypropylene films, camera rims, precision moulds, industrial power control systems and factory automation equipment.

These investments are expected to strengthen India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem by expanding domestic production of critical components and reducing dependence on imported materials and equipment.

The projects will create procurement opportunities for engineering contractors, machinery suppliers, automation specialists, tooling manufacturers and industrial infrastructure developers.

The latest ECMS approvals collectively target production worth ₹39,045 crore and the creation of 7,127 direct jobs.

Project Status: Government approvals announced on 6 November 2026. Individual project implementation schedules and contractor appointments remain subject to further announcements.
