"Goyal Salt's New Gandhidham Plant Ready for Operations"

Goyal Salt, a leading producer of premium industrial and edible salts, is gearing up to expand its footprint across western and eastern India with the stabilization of production at its newly commissioned Gandhidham plant in Kutch, Gujarat.

With a capacity of 4.5 lakh tonnes per annum and spread over 12 acres, the Gandhidham facility is currently undergoing trial runs and is expected to become fully operational by the end of January. The plant is a strategic addition to Goyal Salt's infrastructure, enabling the company to reduce logistics costs and expedite product deliveries to customers in these regions.

Pramesh Goyal, Managing Director of Goyal Salt, expressed optimism about the company’s growth trajectory. “The new facility allows us to strengthen our presence in western and eastern markets, mirroring the success we’ve achieved in the northern regions. We are committed to delivering growth through our extensive network of distributors,” he said.

The company currently works with over 60 distributors in northern India and has expanded its network to Maharashtra, Gujarat, Assam, and Odisha, reaching 5,000 retail outlets. Goyal Salt aims to penetrate households nationwide within the next five years.

Incorporated in 2010, Goyal Salt’s flagship manufacturing facility is located in Nawa City, Rajasthan, near Sambhar Lake. The company specializes in triple refined free-flow iodized salt, industrial salt, double fortified salt, and triple refined half-dry salt, with a daily production capacity of 700 tonnes.

Looking ahead, the company plans to enter southern markets, capitalizing on the growing demand for premium salt products. India, the world’s third-largest salt producer, is witnessing a 4.8% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in its salt market, driven by urbanization and evolving consumer preferences, particularly in the premium segment.

With its strategic investments and expanding distribution network, Goyal Salt is well-positioned to capitalize on these growth opportunities and strengthen its market presence across India.
