Gujarat steel portal to get Rs. 50-crore investment in 3 years.

Ahmedabad-based Loha Live Junction recently said its promoters, who have invested Rs. 2 crore in their iron and steel business portal, www.lohalive.com, plan to invest another Rs. 50 crore in the next three years.

The portal is a dedicated e-commerce portal for the iron and steel industry that provides end-to-end business solutions, said Chirag Shah, Managing Director. The portal, launched in October, already has more than 15,000 iron and steel companies, their products, traders, suppliers, retailers and end-users listed on it, he told reporters.

Shah said the platform is expected to boost to e-commerce in iron and steel business which is currently scattered and unorganized.

Lohalive will provide free listing to 5,000 subscribers until March 2015 and charge Rs. 10,000 per annum to subscribers thereafter. For listing as premium subscribers, it would charge Rs. 10,000 per month, he said.
