Gujarat's Massive Hybrid Renewable Energy Park Set to Power 1.85 Crore Homes by 2028.
Gujarat's ambitious Hybrid Renewable Energy Park under development in Khavda is projected to power a staggering 1.85 crore homes by 2028, according to an official release from the Gujarat government.
The sprawling park, spanning 800 square kilometers, recently saw a visit from the Gujarat Chief Minister on Saturday, who met with officials from various companies actively involved in the project's implementation.
Several key public and private entities are engaged in the development of this massive renewable energy hub. These include National Thermal Power Corporation Renewable Energy Ltd (NTPC REL), Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL), Gujarat Power Corporation Ltd (GPCL), Sarjan Realities Pvt Ltd, and Adani Green Energy Ltd.
Once fully operational, the park is expected to generate a substantial 37,000 MW of renewable energy. The groundbreaking ceremony for this landmark project was conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in December 2020.
