Hero Future Energies Unveils Green Hydrogen Plant in Andhra Pradesh.
Hero Future Energies (HFE) has inaugurated a green hydrogen plant in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, designed to blend green hydrogen with piped natural gas (PNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The plant will supply Rockman Industries, a Hero Group company, and was officially inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday, the company announced.
Rockman Industries, India’s largest alloy wheel manufacturer, produces 17 million two-wheeler wheels and 1.5 million four-wheeler wheels annually.
“This plant has the unique capability of blending green hydrogen with LPG, opening new possibilities for industries to decarbonize their hard-to-abate operations,” said Rahul Munjal, Chairman and Managing Director of Hero Future Energies. He emphasized that the initiative would accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen and support the development of India’s green hydrogen ecosystem.
Ujjwal Munjal, Managing Director of Rockman Industries, added, “Looking ahead, we aim to expand green hydrogen usage across our processes and collaborate with HFE to implement further advancements in renewable energy technologies.”
