Hirose Electric Announces ₹100-Crore Manufacturing Investment in Tamil Nadu.

Japanese electronic components manufacturer Hirose Electric Co., Ltd. plans to establish its first manufacturing facility in India in Tamil Nadu with an investment of about ₹100 crore, according to an official State government release.

The Phase-1 project is expected to generate around 100 jobs and will focus on the production of precision connectors and other electronic components.

The company recently exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu government in the presence of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and Industries Minister T. R. B. Rajaa.

Globally, Hirose Electric operates eight manufacturing facilities across Japan, China, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia. The planned Tamil Nadu unit will mark the company’s entry into the Indian manufacturing sector.
