Hotayi Electronics to Invest ₹700 Crore in Semiconductor, Electronics Facility at Sanand.

Malaysia-based Hotayi Electronics, a key supply chain partner of global memory chipmaker Micron Technology, will invest around ₹700 crore over the next decade to establish an advanced semiconductor and electronics manufacturing facility at Sanand in Gujarat.

The project received a major push recently after Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi handed over the Offer-cum-Allotment (OCA) letter forland allocated at Sanand-II GIDC, according to an official release.

The Gujarat government has allotted five hectares of land for the proposed facility, which will manufacture advanced DRAM memory modules, Solid-State Drives (SSDs), server and data centre memory modules, as well as automotive electronics products including LED lighting and infotainment modules.
