Hyderabad Metro Divestment to Be Completed by End of FY26: L&T.

Infrastructure giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced recently that it expects to complete the divestment of its stake in the Hyderabad Metro Rail project by the end of the current financial year (FY26).

In a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company stated, "We expect the divestment to get completed by the end of the current fiscal FY26."

As part of the disinvestment process, the Telangana government will assume control of the Hyderabad Metro special purpose vehicle (SPV) by refinancing existing debt and acquiring L&T’s equity in L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd at mutually agreed valuations.

L&T added that an in-principle agreement has already been reached between the two parties, paving the way for the formal transfer of ownership.
