IGI Airport Sets Ambition to Become Global Hub Within Two Years.

Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is aiming to establish itself as a major global hub within the next two years, driven by rising international passenger traffic and enhanced infrastructure, a senior official from Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL) said.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of DIAL, said the airport is steadily progressing toward meeting the key benchmarks in passenger volume and international connectivity typically associated with global hub airports.

“IGI Airport is well on track to achieve the passenger traffic and destination network parameters needed to function as a hub,” Jaipuriar noted.

DIAL currently operates and manages the IGI Airport, which has emerged as one of the busiest in the region and is undergoing continued expansion to support future growth.
