"IIM Shillong Partners with Land Ports Authority of India to Launch Centre of Excellence and LPAI Chair"

IIM Shillong (IIMS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) to enhance research and knowledge exchange. Under the agreement, IIM Shillong will establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to North East India Studies, focusing on trade, movement, and related sectors.

Additionally, the MoU provides for the creation of an LPAI Chair at IIM Shillong. This role will spearhead research initiatives and offer thought leadership in the relevant fields. The MoU was signed by Prof. D. P. Goyal, Director of IIM Shillong, and Ajeet Singh, Director of Operations at LPAI.

This collaboration aims to advance research and tackle the unique socio-economic and logistical challenges faced by the North East region, serving as a significant platform for addressing these issues.
