Inox Wind Bags 51 MW Deal from Thermax Subsidiary.

Inox Wind Limited (IWL) has announced it has won a new order for a 51 MW wind power project from First Energy Private Ltd (FEPL), a company within the Thermax Group. The project site will be located in Tamil Nadu.

Under the terms of the agreement, Inox Wind will supply its 3 MW class wind turbines, featuring a 140-meter hub height and an impressive 145-meter rotor diameter. These turbines will be deployed at the project site being developed by FEPL through its Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), First Energy 10 Private Ltd.

The scope of the order extends beyond just turbine supply. It also includes limited scope EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) services, specifically supervision for the project. Furthermore, Inox Wind's subsidiaries will provide comprehensive multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services after the wind turbine generators (WTGs) are commissioned.

Sanjeev Agarwal, CEO of Inox Wind Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to commence our relationship with First Energy through this 51 MW order, which we believe will be the first of many as we build on our relationship going ahead." He highlighted First Energy's rapid growth in India’s commercial & industrial (C&I) renewable energy market, adding, "We believe that our partnership will help First Energy to scale up its offerings rapidly."

Agarwal concluded by reiterating Inox Wind's commitment to supporting India's clean energy transition: "Inox Wind continues to be a partner of choice for large RE developers, offering a wide range of solutions across the wind energy value chain, strongly contributing to India’s energy transition goals.”
