IPL Biologicals to Set Up New Automated Plant in Gujarat Soon.

Gurugram-based agricultural innovation company IPL Biologicals is set to begin operations at a new automated and modern manufacturing facility in Gujarat by June this year. The company has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to invest ₹400 crore in the plant, with ₹200 crore being spent in the first phase.

"The plant is nearing completion, and we expect commercial production of the first batch in June. It will be one of the best in the world for manufacturing microbials," said Harshvardhan Bhagchandka, President of IPL Biologicals, in an online interaction with businessline.

The company, which currently operates a manufacturing unit in Haridwar for biological products such as liquid powders and granules, has recently expanded into water-soluble formulations. “We are a pioneer in biologicals with our own research. This year, we have begun making water-soluble formulation, and farmers will begin using it,” Bhagchandka added.

IPL Biologicals is also preparing to launch commercial operations in Uzbekistan as part of its international expansion plans.
