Jakson Engineers to Establish ₹2,000 Crore Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility

Jakson Engineers (JEL), a division of the Jakson Group, announced plans to invest approximately ₹2,000 crore in establishing a new 2,500 megawatt (MW) solar cell manufacturing facility. The project will be developed in two phases, with the first phase expected to be operational within 15 months.

In addition, Jakson Engineers is expanding its existing solar module manufacturing capacity to 2,000 MW. This expansion of the module plant is anticipated to be completed within six months and will create 1,200 new jobs.

The investment aims to enhance Jakson's manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to better serve its growing customer base and support the global shift towards renewable energy. JEL envisions becoming a leading integrated manufacturer of solar wafers, cells, and modules, with a target production capacity of 5,000 MW.

Sundeep Gupta, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Jakson Group, stated, “This expansion reflects our vision and the rising demand for our high-quality solar products. By strengthening our backward integration capabilities, we are ensuring a more resilient supply chain and positioning ourselves to deliver even greater value to our customers.”
