Jindal Poly Films expands its Nashik facility

Jindal Poly Films Ltd. (JPFL), the flagship company of the B C Jindal Group and the manufacturer of flexible packaging films, has expanded its Nashik facility. This is a part of Rs. 1,000 crore Capex plans in Indian and overseas.

The JPFL made announcement to this effect recently.

According to the statement filed by the company to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), 'The company has commissioned its 7th Biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films production line of 41,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) increasing the BOPP films capacity up to 2.51 lakh TPA.'

The company has the world's single largest plant for production of biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate(BOPET) and Biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films at Mundhegaon, 32 kms from Nashik.

In November last year, Jindal Poly Films Ltd. had made announcement of Rs 1,000 crore investments to expand its production capacities in the country and overseas. The company has drawn up future expansion plans for its India operation and for its subsidiaries in USA and Europe totalling to Rs. 1,000 crore.

Presently, the company's global combined capacity of BOPET and BOPP is 5.93 lakh tonnes per annum.
